Tires* will be accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center (HHWRC) if you are a Summit County resident and this material is coming directly from your household.

The HHWRC is located at 1201 Graham Road in Stow at the Rt. 8 Overpass. For hours, directions, and list of acceptable items please visit the HHWRC page here.

Tires are accepted at the HHWRC for a CASH ONLY fee. $1.00 per tire Passenger and Light Truck only — on or off the rim. There is a limit of 10 tires per vehicle. 

Download and print a voucher for $1-off the per-tire collection fee now. Limit one voucher per vehicle, per visit.

Tires are recyclable and are used to make many products, from roads to sandals. To recycle your used tires, bring them to ReWorks’ HHWRC.

Lightner Tire at 780 E. Waterloo Rd. in Akron will also accept scrap tires. They can be reached at 330-724-7436.
